Kevin’s roots are close to home. He grew up in Irmo and began playing golf at the age of 11. The next year as a 7th grader, he made the Irmo JV golf team and has been playing the game ever since. Kevin soon earned a spot on the Irmo Varsity golf team and went on to earn a full scholarship to play golf at Fayetteville State University. After graduating with honors from FSU, Kevin soon turned professional and played on the developmental tour circuit for 8 years. He racked up 7 professional wins during his time on the circuit, and now enjoys sharing the lessons he has learned with young aspiring golfers. He is thrilled to be a part of the First Tee family and is working diligently to grow First Tee Columbia. “Please feel free to reach out to me anytime, as I am here to work with you and your child to make this experience the best yet!”
Coach Mike has been with the program for the past five years. He is The First Tee of Columbia’s head volunteer and in 2016 earned his Level I Coaching certification. He is always available with a big smile and high five for the kids. The First Tee of Columbia is lucky to have him part of the coaching staff and family.
Our chapter is one of many in the First Tee network. First Tee is reaching young people in all 50 states and select international locations on golf courses, in elementary schools and through other youth-serving organizations.
